Laser Hair Removal

In order to remove hair permenantly the blood supply to the hair must be eliminated thus restricting the nutrients necessary for hair growth. Electrolysis exposes the hair follicle with a burst of heat energy, which stops the nutirents to the hair. The hair falls out and in many cases will not grow back. The problem with electrolysis is that it is time consuming and covers a very small area. Another problem with most electrolysis machines is that the heat energy from the needle can affect the surrounding skin causing hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation. The one advantage with electrolysis is that it is the only effective method in removing blond, white or light colored hair.

Laser Stretch Marks Removal and Laser Treatments

Laser stretch mark removal has advanced in recent years, the cost and pain associated with laser stretch mark treatments has come down significantly. Although the costs are still not considered cheap, the treatment cost have not risen in parallel with the rising costs of these new advanced stretch mark removal lasers.

It is best to get laser stretch mark treatment early, the older the stretch mark, the more difficult it will be to fade.  The stretchmark location, whether on your arms, stomach, hips, legs or back, does not make a difference.

Some doctors use multiple lasers to treat stretch marks.  Every case is different and each patient

Laser Wrinkle/Scar Removal

Laser Resurfacing can treat not only wrinkles but also sun-damaged skin, growths, acne scarring, and other conditions. Resurfacing lasers have for the most part replaced chemical peels and dermabrasion. The precision of these lasers have enabled doctors to remove tissue precisely, without blood, and to a desired depth. They also tighten collagen fibers.

Acne Treatments and Acne Scar Removal

Acne breakouts are caused by a variety of environmental, gene, and age factors, even stress!
Acne (whiteheads and blackheads) are caused by an infection of the skin when p.acne bacteria and oil are trapped below the skin surface.
Acne treatment and acne scar removal include lasers, chemical peels and physician grade topical skin care products. Acne removal laser treatments are relatively painless, have no down time, and are should only be administered by experienced medical staff.
Lasers are first used for acne kill p.acne bacteria that cause active acne lesions. In the second phase, the sebaceous (oil-producing) glands are shrunk. This causes the glands to produce less oil, preventing future acne outbreaks. Laser acne treatments usually last between fifteen minutes and one hour. There is no pain or down time for this procedure.
Acne scar removal is treated in much the same way as fine line and wrinkle removal. Lasers promote new collagen growth, filling scars from the inside out. Brown and red discoloration left from acne scars are removed using treatments similar to the removal of pigmented lesions and vascular lesions.
